FeedRescue is the Google Merchant feed repair layer for the feed stack you already use. Start with a read-only scan, review product proof, then install the Shopify app when you are ready to sync catalog data and manage fixes.

Safe workflow

  1. Run the free checker to create an initial issue preview and product proof before connecting Google.
  2. Use the issue dictionary to understand severity, source, and safe fix methods.
  3. Install the Shopify app to sync authenticated catalog data and continue from a scan ID when one is available.
  4. Review grouped product issues before applying any fix. The default path is supplemental feeds or app-owned metafields that work alongside your current feed app.

What FeedRescue will not do

FeedRescue does not invent GTINs, weights, dimensions, shipping promises, certifications, or compliance facts. If a field needs merchant knowledge, the app should ask for merchant input instead of fabricating it.

  • Rules-first scans handle fact-based checks before any AI-assisted enrichment.
  • Confidence controls decide whether a recommendation is autofix eligible, review only, or merchant input.
  • Audit logs and idempotency keys should exist for external writes so actions can be reconstructed.
